The annual Never Say Die! tour has grown into a concert-going institution. Consistently featuring genre-leaders in the metal, punk, and hardcore realms, each year’s line-up has outdone the previous one, and 2010 saw NSD! broadening its reach to American shores for the first time.
The European tour returns in 2010, this time around featuring musical pioneers Parkway Drive, Comeback Kid, Bleeding Through, Emmure, Your Demise, War From A Harlots Mouth and We Came As Romans.
With release of their album, Deep Blue, Parkway Drive are striving to further push the boundaries of their heavy music sound, marrying the conceptual components of their creative process to create a complete lyrical, musical and visual experience.
With two critically acclaimed albums behind them, Comeback Kid have become what AMP magazine has branded as “a wildly successful scene institution”, cementing their place as one of the biggest names in hardcore today.
Bleeding Through have been one of the pioneering bands to bring the mixture of hardcore and metal to the international scene. Having toured with Slayer, Bullet For My Valentine, Machine Head and Marilyn Manson to name a few, the band are no strangers to putting on a fantastic live show.
With the goal of being “the most emotionally moving band out there”, the band dedicated hours and days to travel just to be able to rehearse when they initially started. Emmure are now set to dismantle any preconceived notions about hardcore rock with a sound lovingly crafted for their upcoming debut album.
Your Demise’s five year rise from humble beginnings in scout huts and youth clubs has not been a smooth ride, but it’s these very trials and tribulations that have scarred, defined and moulded them into a feral force of energy, aggression and irrepressible ambition. And today, having laid the foundations of their sound on self funded releases ‘You Only Make Us Stronger’ (2006, Mind Rugby) and ‘The Blood Stays On The Blade E.P’ (2008, TDON - 9/10 RockSound; 7/10 NME; 4/5 Metal Hammer ), Your Demise have created their ultimate statement of intent with new album ‘IGNORANCE NEVER DIES’, their debut for Visible Noise.
The band’s roots stem from the German hardcore scene, developing over time to be more versatile and experimental. War From A Harlots Mouth are expected to make waves with their new material and want their music “to speak for itself”, rather than being defined by any existing standard.
Despite being a six-piece, We Came As Romans achieve a sound bordering on the symphonic with the use of tradition orchestral elements on their new album Plant A Seed. Combined with a positive message woven into their lyrics, this post-hardcore band are truly bringing a unique edge to their musical medium.
