Formed in 2009, MoonRunners are a four-piece female fronted indie rock band from the North East/North West of the UK (primarily Sunderland) and officially the UK's "Student band of the year" for 2012.
Currently signed to independent record label Satellite Records based in Teesside, the band have successfully supported a number of up and coming artists as well as established bands across the region, Leeds, London, Wales (McFly, Bow Wow Wow, Shaun Ryder, No Lights At Lockdown, Tom Hingley, Bleech, Martin Stephenson & The Daintees, Ben Poole, The Duel).
With a debut album due for release towards the end of 2013, the band are looking to firmly establish themselves within the music industry having already cemented their music in a number of low budget independent movies.
